DESTIN CONRAD’s ability to create albums back to back is exemplary of his artistic capabilities. His previous works SUBMISSIVE and SUBMISSIVE 2 were a two-part album project. Then earlier this spring, he released LOVE ON DIGITAL and coincidentally its accompanying tour starts today, September 13th 2025. Just four months after releasing LOVE ON DIGITAL, DESTIN CONRAD released wHIMSY, an alternative jazz album. The album is presented by “Mr. E.” A persona with the same name appears as the title of a song from his previous album, LOVE ON DIGITAL. The connections across the projects is a testament to his creative vision as an artist. He puts thought into his projects beyond simply singing songs. The album is also a symbol of his cross-genre versatility. Just shy of thirty minutes, the album is brief but it takes you on a poetic journey. This project has the perfect study session vibe, it is cozy cafe core. I gravitate towards this album whenever I want to listen to music while focusing on a task. It feels super cohesive and meticulously crafted despite the short gap between this release and his most recent album. It features talented contributions from fellow collaborators like James Fauntleroy, Vanisha Gould, and Terrace Martin. The next time you have a chore to complete, a quick homework assignment, or re-create a coffeeshop vibe at home, play this album and see if it enhances your performance and productivity!
